Resources

We are capitalizing on the great work underway nationally and regionally. Are you interested in launching a new program? Employers, would you like information regarding on-the-job models?  The links below provide assistance to the Ohio TechNet constituents as we continue solving the Manufacturing skills gap in Ohio.

On-The-Job Training

Right Skills Now

Right Skills Now (RSN) is a fast-track manufacturing workforce training program designed to provide manufacturers the skilled workers they need. It is part of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) – Endorsed Manufacturing Skills Certification System, that includes nationally portable, industry-recognized certifications that are combined with for-credit education program options. These education pathways are directly aligned to career pathways in manufacturing, so students progressing through the programs have the opportunity to earn a national certification with labor market value, college credit towards a degree, and the hands-on technical experience to be successful on the job.

Registered Apprenticeships

This toolkit provides helpful steps and resources to start and register an apprenticeship program, from exploring the apprenticeship model as a workforce strategy to launching a new program. Whether you’re a business or labor organization, an industry association or another kind of workforce intermediary, a community college or the public workforce system, or a community-based or service organization, we invite you to use this Department of Labor toolkit.
